Nationals Pitching Ravaged by Reed
Saturday, August 9th , 2025
5 times is the charm -- at least for Jim Reed.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks shortstop tore up the Potomac Nationals to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Reed powered the 10-3 Blue Rocks win.
"Reed was a tough out," Potomac manager Cesar Martin said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Jim Reed singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season, Reed is batting .303 with 4 home runs. He has scored 66 runs and driven in 39.
