Lynchburg Loses Shelton, Out 4 Months Sunday, July 6th , 2025 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Lynchburg's Doug Shelton to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 07/05/2025 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Shelton said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Shelton has been out of action since he suffered a partially torn labrum. This season, Shelton has nailed down no saves with 29 strikeouts in 34.2 innings. He is credited with no wins and 2 losses and has a 7.79 earned run average. |
