Taylor Sensational, 5-for-5 Tuesday, June 10th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Dan Taylor as he led the charge to a nifty 9-4 win over the Pelicans. The Lynchburg catcher was pure misery for the Myrtle Beach pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Taylor put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jose Lobaton, manager for the Pelicans, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Dan Taylor singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season, Taylor is batting .347 with no home runs.
