Mercer Holds Dash Scoreless Saturday, August 26th , 2023 In an excellent mound performance, Thom Mercer of the Wilmington Blue Rocks blanked the Winston-Salem Dash 2-0 on a 6-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Wilmington hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Dash manager Brent Metheny. "Mercer did a good job keeping us guessing."
