Li Rips Bakersfield for 5 Hits Friday, July 17th , 2026 Kian-zhi Li was at the head of a Visalia Rawhide hit parade at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. The 27-year-old went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Bakersfield Blaze that marched off with the 17-13 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Rawhide skipper following the game. "Kian-zhi did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Li did more than fine, dominating the Blaze at the plate during his record-making 5-for-6 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging third baseman told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Kian-zhi Li struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. For the year, Li is batting .284 with 88 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 35 times and driven in 35. View Boxscore |
