Columbus Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Lancaster Wednesday, July 15th , 2026 The Lancaster JetHawks pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Eric Columbus hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 10-4 victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at LoanMart Field. The disappointing performance ended a 24-game hitting streak for the first baseman. "I'm a little down right now," Columbus said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." In this current campaign Columbus is hitting at a .306 clip with 8 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
