Stockton Loses Wood for Season Monday, September 1st , 2025 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Stockton's Dave Wood to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 08/30/2025 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Wood said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Wood has been out of action since he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament. To date this season, Wood is 4-7 with 16 starts and an ERA of 4.22 with 96 strikeouts in 108.2 innings. |
