Rancho Cucamonga Stops Nolan Hit Streak Monday, August 18th , 2025 For 24 straight games, Ron Nolan tried to ignore his hitting streak. It wasn't easy. Well, the 22-year-old Lancaster JetHawks shortstop can forget about it now -- it's over, courtesy of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The Quakes held him hitless in 3 at-bats at The Hanger and snapped his consecutive-game hitting string at 24. There was at least one good note to the end of the streak, however, as the JetHawks took the win by the score of 4-2. "I tried to ignore it for weeks, but you guys in the media wouldn't let me," he joked with reporters after the game. "I'm looking forward to some peace and quiet now." Nolan has collected 126 hits for the JetHawks this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 46 RBIs and scored 62 runs while batting .318. |
