CAL Awards Player of the Week Monday, August 11th , 2025 Not every ball that came off Joel Kirkpatrick's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the High Desert Mavericks. For his exploits, Kirkpatrick was named this week's California League Player of the Week award. The High Desert catcher put up 13 hits in 21 at-bats and 1 home run while hitting .619 with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year, Kirkpatrick is hitting .337, produced 52 RBIs and 12 home runs, scored 47 times and gotten on base at a .398 rate. |
