CAL Announces Best Pitcher for July Friday, August 1st , 2025 Hal Powell was the best pitcher in July according to the voters. He severely shut down opposition batters to win the California League Pitcher of the Month Award. San Jose's star reliever compiled a 2-1 mark and an ERA of 1.56 in 17.1 innings with 21 strikeouts and 9 saves in 10 save opportunities. This year, Powell has made 39 relief appearances, pitched 44.2 innings, and fashioned a 3-5 record with a 4.03 ERA. He has recorded 26 saves, struck out 51, and allowed opposing clubs to hit .275 when he is on the hill. |
