Richmond Wins Top Spot in Northern Division Tuesday, September 8th , 2026 Juan Carlos Hernández of the Richmond Flying Squirrels said his team has "enormous responsibility" on their shoulders, after having just won the Northern Division. "Our organization, our city, our coaches, everyone expects us to win the Round 1," the starting pitcher said. "That's a lot of expectations and a lot of people to ensure you don't let down. We all want it badly enough, but that's some good extra motivation." The Flying Squirrels have secured their 4th division crown on the strength of their 79-61 record. Richmond will now seek to capture its 3rd Eastern League championship. |
