Arroyo Earns EL Player of the Week Monday, July 27th , 2026 Erie fans have something to crow about today as Erie right fielder Greg Arroyo nabbed the Eastern League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Arroyo. He posted a .455 average (15-for-33) this past week with no home runs, 8 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. So far this season, Arroyo is batting .254 with 3 home runs, 29 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 68 hits in 268 at-bats, 8 walks and a .276 OBP. Arroyo has played in 71 games. |
