Evans Goes 5-for-6 Monday, September 1st , 2025 All game long, Akron's Rob Evans was rattling the walls at Canal Park and banging out base hits against the Binghamton Mets. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the RubberDucks had a win, 5-4. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 23-year-old center fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Rob Evans doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 11th. This year, Evans is batting .241 with no home runs.
