Hugo Perales Bashes Three over the Wall Monday, July 7th , 2025 New Hampshire Fisher Cats center fielder Hugo Perales sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Akron RubberDucks, Perales told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Perales pushed the Fisher Cats past the RubberDucks, 16-3. To go along with the homers, he collected 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Perales told reporters after the game. Hugo Perales flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jake Cushingham in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Álex Icaza in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Lúcio Rivera in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. In 75 games this season, Perales is batting .295 with 94 hits and 15 home runs. He has scored 49 runs and driven in 60. |
