"Mike was just locating so well and using his pitches," New Orleans manager Jody Reed said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Armstrong recorded 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Iowa manager Gera Alvarez said in postgame comments to BNN.
