Fresno Triumph Powered by Hayagawa's 5 Hits Monday, July 6th , 2026 The Fresno Grizzlies stopped the Tacoma Rainiers by a score of 9-8 at Chukchansi Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Takahiro Hayagawa. The 29-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Hayagawa said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Hayagawa did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Rainiers. "Not much that I can say," offered Tacoma manager Mario Garza. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Takahiro Hayagawa singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
