Memphis Bats Silenced by Dyer
Sunday, June 28th , 2026
The Memphis Redbirds manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes. The Redbirds were overpowered by Albuquerque starter Brad Dyer, who hurled his club to victory, 6-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Garey Ingram said.
Over 6 innings, Dyer blanked Memphis on 5 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Dyer said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
This season, Dyer has compiled a 2-1 mark with a 3.08 ERA.
