Oklahoma City Pitcher Gets Most Valuable Player Award

2025 was a year to remember for Ernie Ramírez, and his outstanding efforts have garnered him the nod as the American Conference Most Valuable Player Award winner.

While it's not common for a pitcher to win this award, Ramírez couldn't be denied, with a strong season in which he posted a 15-1 mark in 25 starts.

The Oklahoma City Dodgers ace pitcher threw 170 innings, had 135 strikeouts and had 41 walks, accounting for a 2.38 ERA.


Ramírez held opposing hitters to a .253 batting average and compiled a 2.7 WAR.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 16. Bob Seppings of the Oklahoma City Dodgers finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while António Rosa of the Round Rock Express finished third with 2 first place votes.
