The Salt Lake first baseman stepped into the batter's box 8 times against Reno and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. "Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-8 isn't bad for your batting average either." Jesús Milanes singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th, flied out in the 8th, doubled in the 11th, grounded out in the 13th and hit an RBI single in the 14th.
