Don Dickerson Rockets 3 Home Runs Friday, August 22nd , 2025 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Salt Lake right fielder Don Dickerson tripled up on the home runs to propel the Bees to a win, 15-0, at Smith's Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Colorado Springs manager Brian Falkenborg said. "Dickerson hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Dickerson collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Don Dickerson flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Metcalf in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ed Ferrell in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ed Ferrell in the 8th. This season, Dickerson is batting at a .308 clip with 7 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
