Rainiers Wacha Gets No-Hitter Monday, August 4th , 2025 Tacoma Rainiers starter Michael Wacha was unhittable at Principal Park. Wacha beat the Iowa Cubs, 8-0, breezing through the Cubs lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Michael started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," Rainiers manager Mario Garza said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Cubs never had a chance. He dominated them." Wacha struck out 9 batters and issued 1 walk in the performance. This season, Wacha has compiled a 8-5 mark with a 4.17 ERA in 18 starts. View Boxscore |
