Reds Get 11-7 Win Versus Detroit
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Detroit Tigers, 11-7, with youngster Dana Jones playing a key role. Jones was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Reds in the win. Jim Morris earned the save for Cincinnati. Detroit drops to 15-14.

With Cincinnati leading 6-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Jones came up to bat against Detroit pitcher Keone Kela. Jones hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Reds on top, 9-1.

"We got the victory," said Jones. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
