Snappers Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
|
The Bowling Green Hot Rods could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Ken Horn into a win. Instead, the Beloit Snappers prevailed, 4-3. Horn threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The Snappers lead the Western Division by 4 games.
Beloit got a knockout punch from Jeremy Smith. The center fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Our team found a way to get it done," said Smith.
