Lansing got a terrific game from right fielder Toby Clendennon. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Beloit, 5-4. Clendennon went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Snappers, now 48-49, have won 4 in a row.

Beloit designated hitter Luis López helped the Snappers go up, 5-3, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, López hit a 2-run single off Lansing pitcher Steve Collins.

"I was a little disappointed," said Lansing manager Edgar Varela. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
