The South Bend Cubs beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 5-3, at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. South Bend third baseman Zach Kennedy, who is tied for 6th in the MID in triples with 5, collected 2 singles and 1 double with 2 RBI. Mike Tillman earned the save, his 6th in 9 tries. The Cubs sport a record of 37-57.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ron McIntosh? The South Bend designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Cubs on top, 3-2. For the game, McIntosh had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
