The Clinton LumberKings topped the Dayton Dragons, 4-3, in Midwest League action at Alliant Energy Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Clinton pitcher Steve Woodard. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Clinton.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Miller in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Juan Sánchez to win the game for Clinton. The home crowd went nuts.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Dayton manager Manny Amador.
