The Beloit Snappers defeated the Lansing Lugnuts, 10-4. Center Fielder Curt Warren deserved a large share of the credit. Warren was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Snappers. The second-place Lugnuts have lost 4 straight games.

Elroy Cleveland hit a 2-run double off Thom Black in the top of the fifth, which put the Snappers in front, 6-4. In addition to the double, Cleveland had 2 singles, while going 3 for 6.
