Loons Pick Up 4-2 Win Against Lansing
|
The Great Lakes Loons got a stellar effort from pitcher Josh Peterson, helping Great Lakes score a win over the visiting Lansing Lugnuts, 4-2. The Loons improved their record to 33-51 by beating Lansing.
Kevin Kelley had a big 2-run double for the Loons in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Great Lakes leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Kevin Carlton, who is tied for 9th in the MID in wins with 8, and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Loons ahead, 4-1.
"We put together a nice win," Peterson said.
