Martínez Rips 2 Homers in 5-0 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 23-year old shortstop Alfredo Martínez helped the Erie SeaWolves beat the Harrisburg Senators, 5-0. Junior Taylor got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 8 innings, giving up no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Early on, the SeaWolves, at 12-5, have excelled.
With Erie leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Martínez hit a fastball from Steve Strouse for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the SeaWolves ahead, 5-0.
"Glad to go home with a win," said Martínez.
