The Quad Cities River Bandits overcame a pretty good performance by Kane County first baseman Eric Stanley, beating the Cougars, 14-12, at Philip B. Elfstrom Stadium. Stanley went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Bailey Roughley. He is now 3-1. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3 innings. Bob Barraclough earned the save for Quad Cities, his 18th of the year.

Quad Cities used the clutch hitting of Jamie Williams to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the River Bandits the lead, 10-8. For the game, Williams had 1 single and 2 doubles in 6 at-bats.

Kane County manager expressed his frustration after the game: "That many runs and it still wasn't enough?"
