The Lake County Captains topped the Dayton Dragons, 5-3, in Midwest League action at Fifth Third Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lake County pitcher Dan Knight. With the win, Lake County pushed its record to 43-35.

Lake County used the timely hitting of Phil Cooper to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Captains on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Knight.
