Extra frames were needed to settle this game between the Lansing Lugnuts and Great Lakes Loons.

Steve Collins led the charge as the Lansing Lugnuts defeated the Great Lakes Loons, 6-4, in 10 innings at Dow Diamond. Collins, who is tied for 8th in the MID in RBI with 41, went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. The Lugnuts, at 35-35, have now won 4 straight.

Whit Barnes delivered a big hit for Lansing. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lugnuts ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Obviously," said Great Lakes manager Emilio Bonifacio, "we've hit the skids."
