The Bowling Green Hot Rods picked up a win at Bowling Green Ballpark, dropping the Dayton Dragons, 6-4. Juan Rodríguez, who is tied for 6th in the MID in complete games with 3, was the difference-maker. Bowling Green reliever Pete Hickman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Sánchez absorbed the loss. The setback makes Dayton 25-39.

Bowling Green got a knockout punch from Arturo Toro. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

In postgame remarks, Rodríguez simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
