Quad Cities designated hitter Héctor Rivera helped his team beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 10-8. Rivera, who leads the MID in hits with 88, went 4 for 5 for the River Bandits. Quad Cities pitcher Jorge Martínez earned the win, hiking his record to 5-4. César Rivera suffered the loss. Bob Barraclough nailed down his 12th save.

With Quad Cities leading 5-4 in the top of the sixth, Rivera hit a fastball from Jesús Gonzáles for a run-scoring double. It was his 19th double of the season and put the River Bandits ahead, 6-4.

"If you were looking for a pitchers' duel," said Rivera, "this wasn't it."

The River Bandits improved their record to 27-32 with the win over Wisconsin.
