Richter Rips 2 Home Runs in 5-3 Timber Rattlers Triumph
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers beat the Cedar Rapids Kernels, 5-3, at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Wisconsin catcher Bob Richter had the hot bat. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Rob Castle got the win, improving to 6-2. He held the Kernels to 1 run on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. With the win over Cedar Rapids, the Timber Rattlers improved to 24-32.

With Wisconsin leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Richter hit a slider from Tim Edwards for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Timber Rattlers ahead, 3-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Richter told the Wisconsin Citizen.
