Alliant Energy Field was host to some intense drama.

In a tight contest at Alliant Energy Field, the Clinton LumberKings edged the Quad Cities River Bandits by the score of 7-6. Clinton first baseman Jerry Richards, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Clinton reliever Loren Innis snagged the win, upping his record to 2-2. José Salinas shouldered the loss.

Chris McIntosh delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the LumberKings. For the game, McIntosh drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," McIntosh said in his postgame press conference.

The victory gives the LumberKings a record of 33-23.
