Snappers 5-2 Victors Over Burlington

The bat of Chet Smith helped the Beloit Snappers top the Burlington Bees, 5-2. Smith went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Beloit. Ánibal Aguilar snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season. Daniel Negrón recorded the save for Beloit, his 14th of the season.
The Snappers got a big at-bat from center fielder Elroy Cleveland. For the game, Cleveland was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Beloit a 1-0 lead.
