Behind the bravura of designated hitter Loren Allen, the Lansing Lugnuts topped the Lake County Captains by the score of 7-5. Allen went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Lugnuts. Tomás Donungo earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 3-1. Dorian Abbott recorded the save, his 5th.

Greg Wright hit a 2-run double off Juan Cruz in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Lugnuts in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Wright had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
