Timber Rattlers Win, Spilling River Bandits, 4-1
|
Wisconsin and Quad Cities duked it out and the Timber Rattlers came out victorious.
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers pitcher José Ferreira was in top form, leading his team past the Quad Cities River Bandits, 4-1. Ferreira, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs.
The Timber Rattlers got a big at-bat from catcher Elroy Long. For the game, Long went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Wisconsin a 3-0 lead.

Wisconsin has won 3 straight, while Quad Cities has lost 3 in a row.
