The Burlington Bees spoiled a good performance by Quad Cities designated hitter Héctor Rivera, bumping off Quad Cities, 6-5, at Community Field. Rivera was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Burlington win streak is now 3 games.

Eric Thomas went 1 for 4 with a walk for Burlington. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Mike Price. It was his 26th walk of the season.

"Not the sexiest win," said Bees manager Danny Valencia, "but I'll take it."
