Wills on Fire: 5-for-6 for Beloit
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Erik Wills, it came around today.

The 22-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium to pace the 14-7 Beloit Snappers victory over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

Wisconsin skipper Matt Walbeck told reporters in the press room that "Wills deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Wills hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Erik Wills singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tim Ferguson in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

Wills is batting .314 this year with 6 home runs, 26 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 153 at-bats.
