The Beloit Snappers picked up a win at Dozer Park, knocking off the Peoria Chiefs, 5-4. Starting pitcher Bobby Whitfield played a key role in the triumph. Earning his 8th save of the year was Daniel Negrón. The win gives Beloit a season record of 21-18.

Beloit used a well-timed hit by Rob Brown to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Snappers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Phil Nevin.
