The Bowling Green Hot Rods beat the Great Lakes Loons, 4-3, at Dow Diamond. Bowling Green first baseman Steve Harper had the hot bat. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win boosted Bowling Green to 20-18.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Harper hit a 3-run home run off Jorge Castro. It propelled the Hot Rods into the lead, 3-0.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Harper told the Bowling Green Daily News.
