Lansing Beats Wisconsin, 5-2

Lansing and Wisconsin duked it out and the Lugnuts came out victorious.
The Lansing Lugnuts licked the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 5-2. Doug Baldwin deserved a big chunk of the credit. The center fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Lugnuts. Lansing reliever Tomás Donungo was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Tony Hurtado took the loss.
The Lugnuts got a big at-bat from second baseman Kevin Lewis. For the game, Lewis was 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Lansing a 2-1 lead.
Said losing manager Matt Walbeck: "Give the Lugnuts credit. They played a better game than we did."
The 7th-place Timber Rattlers dropped to 16-20.
