Chiefs Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Whitecaps
Riding the 5-hit performance of the 22-year old left fielder Jeff Young, the West Michigan Whitecaps stopped the Peoria Chiefs, 3-2. The winner in relief was Mike Jensen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The Chiefs have now dropped 5 straight.

The Whitecaps got a clutch hit from right fielder Balduíno Vecchi. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Whitecaps.
