The Lake County Captains dealt the Burlington Bees a 3-2 loss at Community Field. António Herrera was the star on offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Mike Tyler, who is tied for 6th in the MID with a 2.27 ERA, was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was José Álvarez. The win elevated the Captains to 21-14.

Steve Cobb, who is tied for 8th in the MID in home runs with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cobb contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Lake County up, 2-0.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Lake County manager Chris Dwyer.
