Timber Rattlers Win at Home, 6-2
|
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers defeated the Great Lakes Loons, 6-2, in part because of shortstop Ernie Brewster. Brewster went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs for the Timber Rattlers. José Montáñez got the save, the 4th for him this season. The win puts Wisconsin at 11-23.
Rob Montgomery could have done more damage. In the top of the ninth, with Great Lakes trailing 6-1, Great Lakes had the bases loaded. That's when Montgomery grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Wisconsin would go on to win the game.
