Snappers Send South Bend Home with 4-2 Loss
|
The Beloit Snappers and South Bend Cubs played an exciting game.
Curt Warren made an impact in the 4-2 Beloit win over South Bend. Warren, who leads the MID in extra base hits with 19, was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Beloit now sits at 16-17, while South Bend falls to 17-16.
In the bottom of the fifth, Mike Sawyer delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Beloit catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Snappers in front, 4-2.
