Quad Cities Dismisses South Bend, 8-3
The Quad Cities River Bandits topped the South Bend Cubs, 8-3, in Midwest League action at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Quad Cities pitcher and Little Chute, Wisconsin, native Myron Nichols. In 6 innings, Nichols surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1.
