Timber Rattlers Win at Lansing, 10-6
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers overcame a pretty good performance by Lansing designated hitter Whit Barnes, beating the Lugnuts, 10-6, at Cooley Law School Stadium. Barnes was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ken Featherstone earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Wisconsin is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 8th win in 28 games.

Wisconsin shortstop Ernie Brewster helped the Timber Rattlers go up, 4-3, in the top of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Brewster hit a run-scoring single off Lansing pitcher Kevin Carlton.
